That's what I call it when I go to the gym with my friend.
We totally don't pump iron. We only do the elliptical, because we are good at it. But, I am really getting bored with just doing that. So, I want to know what you do when you go to the gym.
What is your routine? Do you have certain days of the week you go? What time of day do you go?
Because this obviously isn't working for me. I need your inspiration, bloggy friends. Help a girl out?

Hmmmmm mel, i am sorry i lack the inspiration for you..... lol :)I dont go to the gym at all, and it shows! Trust me. Haha! But i have thought about it in the past, and recently. Maybe after the baby is born i will get into it, but i usually just prefer a nice brisk walk/jog. :) Can you ask one of the trainers at the gym what they would reccommend for you? As they can tell you what they would suggest if your trying to achieve something in particular. :) Who knows... just a suggestion! Good on you though, admire your effort in going to gym! Its not easy. Hehe
xo Love,
Mel

I love group fitness! At first I was intimidated but once I got the hang of it, it's really fun. Some of my favorites are spinning (butt will be sore for the first few times but you'll get used to it.), step aerobics, they usually have some sort of cardio/stregth training combo. Try it, with a friend of course so you look silly together. I used to belong the the Nampa Rec Center and they have some fun instructors. Cardio kick boxing is great too.
I do 45 minutes on the elliptical. Then, I do 20 to 30 minutes on my arms, and 20 to 30 minutes on my legs. If you are not feeling as challenged in what you are doing or are getting bored then change it up. Do the stair climber or the treadmill instead of the elliptical. If the weather is nice go for a run and you can burn just as many calories as the elliptical. I hope you find a routine that you like.
I do kickboxing and I love it! I got once a week, its about an hour long. And I'm building myself up to doing it twice a week, then three times a week. Its a lot of fun and it way of getting rid of stress!!
I do kickboxing too! I hate going to the gym as I get bored, quick. But kickboxing is fun, helps a little with self-defense, and gets out a ton of frustration!
Try squats, lunges, push ups on an upside down bosu ball, crunches on the ball, walk-outs, you know, resistance stuff. The trainer at the gym told me to do that. And it works. At least I am sore ALL OVER!
Vickie :)
My routine (which has been sorely neglected the past couple months, heh) is this: Mon-Wed-Fri, cardio. That is usually the eliptical, riding a bike, spinning, kickboxing, or some such. Then, Tues-Thurs-Sat(some Saturdays) I do something more toning related. Tuesday and Saturday mornings are a weight lifting class, and Thursday is Pilates. It's a perfect little routine... when I do it. ;)
gym? workout? what?
I walk or run on the treadmills when the little ones permit, thats about it.
